1979 Kawasaki KDX400-A1: side view of the green KDX400 with its KDX side panel

The story so far Sample copy

It rolled in as a tired trail bike that had spent more seasons leaning on a shed wall than kicking up dirt. Faded plastics, crusty cables, a kickstart with opinions.

The plan is simple and a little stubborn: strip it to the frame, free every seized bolt, sort out the rubber and the wiring, and get it back on the trail where it belongs. From tote to goat.

This page follows it the whole way, from before shots and bench sessions to the first ride.
